How do I express a concern at a City Council meeting?
To properly address the Council, citizens are asked to stand at the microphone, state their name and address, and then relate their issue.

During a Council meeting, there are regularly two places on the agenda for public input:

  • Public Forum - This is for anyone wishing to address the Council regarding agenda items.
  • Other Business / Public Forum - Citizens can address the City Council about issues that are not on the formal agenda.

In addition, when a Public Hearing is scheduled on the agenda, citizens can address the Council on that specific item. For more information on the City Council, view the Mayor and City Council page.
