COVID-19 Updates


All City of Pella offices and most recreational facilities reopened to the public on June 1.  The outdoor aquatic center is scheduled to open on June 23.  The soccer complex, and Joan Kuyper Farver auditorium remain closed until further notice.  Operation of the reopened facilities will be conducted in strict compliance with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and the Governor’s proclamations including capacity restrictions, operating hour limitations, and additional sanitation measures.

The City of Pella continues to monitor and develop appropriate plans in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The health and wellness of our community and team members is a top priority.  In addition, it is our utmost priority to maintain public safety and other essential services.  Accordingly, as developments continue to unfold, appropriate actions and steps will be implemented.  We ask for your patience and understanding during this time.  

In addition, we ask that you follow safety guidelines as communicated by the Marion County Public Health Department, Iowa Department of Public Health, and the CDC.
