Yard Waste

The yard waste program is paid for through the purchase of yard waste bags and brush stickers.

Yard Waste Bags

Only City-authorized yard waste bags will be picked up.  These bags can be purchased at City Hall, Public Works, Thiesen's, Hy-Vee, Fareway, and all Casey's locations at the cost of $5.40 for 5 bags.

Yard waste bags will be collected:

• Every Wednesday between March and November
• 1st and 3rd Wednesdays between December and February

Bundled Brush Stickers

Brush that does not fit into yard waste bags must be bundled with string, rope, or other biodegradable material with a City-authorized sticker attached.  Stickers can be purchased at City Hall and Public Works for $0.85 each.

The City will collect the brush bundles at no charge (without a sticker attached) on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.  View the bundled brush requirements (PDF) for more information.
