Friends of the Library
The Friends of the Library were established in 1977 and have grown to more than 400 members. The Friends coordinate volunteers to deliver materials to "shut-ins," rotate a collection of books through the local seniors housing units, help in the library and sponsor booksales. Proceeds from the booksales and from the membership campaign enrich the library's collection, help to purchase equipment and bring authors to the local schools. The members of the board of the Friends of the Library are elected at the annual meeting in the spring.
Friends Board members are: Erin Draeger, Sara Dunsmore, Jeannie Frerichs, Molly Harthoorn, Nancy Moreland, Cherie Schemm (President), and Jean Wilson. |
