A Special Event Permit is required when the general public is invited to an event held on public property owned by the City of Pella.  Special Event Permit applications must be reviewed by all City Departments prior to being placed on a City Council agenda.  Completed applications should be turned in to the City Clerk at least one month in advance of the event.

The fully completed Special Event Permit Packet must also include: 
  1. A certificate of insurance showing $1,000,000 in liability coverage and listing the City of Pella as an additional insured for your event
  2. The appropriate fee of $20 for a single event or $75 for a seasonal permit
