Art Center Junior
Art Center Junior is a program designed for artists 4-6 years old. Classes meet once a week, and parents are welcome to attend with their children if they wish. Preschoolers express their artistic interests in a supportive environment by exploring different materials including clay, paint, collage, pastels, sculpture, print making, photography and visiting the JKF Art Gallery. Every day is a new creative opportunity. Classes meet Wednesdays 9-10 am or 1-2 pm. Call to register. Fee: $2.00 per visit

After School Art Center
Just $2.00 per visit. Monday-Friday 3:30-5:00 p.m. For students K-12. The Art Center has been offering an interdisciplinary visual arts program for students in Kindergarten-12th grade at the Community Center since 1990. The Art Center encourages students to explore their individual creative needs by defining their own projects. On any given day at the Art Center, you might see a high school student making black and white prints in our photo lab. A 5th grader might be working on a quilt, a 3rd grader finishing a wood project, while other students are working on a self-portrait, glazing a pot they threw on one of our potter's wheels or relaxing in our easy chair and reading a book. Art Center students of all ages can be seen collaging, weaving, sculpting, print making, paper making, painting and puppet making side by side. At the Art Center we help our students develop an appreciation for the value of learning. The choices at the Art Center are extensive and our teachers are prepared to provide the inspiration and information necessary for students to reach their individual goals. Call to register.

Open Studio for Adults and Families
Artists young and old have more opportunity to enjoy the Art Center with expanded staffed hours for open studio. The staffed hours are on Tuesday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m. This is a good opportunity for adults and children with a chaperone to come to the Art Center and try different art mediums such as photography, print making and ceramics with the guidance of a trained professional. The fee is $2.00 per visit for students and $3.00 per visit for adults. Unstaffed Open Studio is available when classes are not being held in the art room.
